Mustard Seed is an intimate 22-seat restaurant nestled in the heart of Serangoon Gardens. We serve a thoughtfully curated tasting menu that celebrates Modern Singapore (Mod-Sin) cuisine — a snapshot of Singapore’s vibrant food culture, enriched with global influences.

About Us

Our menus are crafted through the collective visions of chefs Ming Kiat, Shin Yin, and Desmond, each bringing their own perspective and creativity to the table. Leading the front of house, Yelicia, our restaurant manager, delivers our signature style of warm and genuine Singaporean hospitality.

Menu & Opening Hours

We serve a single tasting menu for both lunch and dinner, priced at $188+.

The menu changes every 2 months.

 

Dietary Restrictions

We are unable to cater for vegetarian, vegan, or no-seafood menus.

Requests to reduce or remove spice/spices cannot be accommodated, as they form the foundation of our cuisine.

 

Corkage

$50+ per 750ml wine / 720ml sake

or 1-for-1 with a similar-sized bottle

 

Opening Hours

Tue–Sat (Dinner): 6:30pm – 10:30pm

Fri–Sat (Lunch): 12:00pm – 3:00pm

Reservations 

Reservations open on the 1st of each month at 10am, for the following month (e.g. bookings made on 1 Jan are for February).

Our booking calendar is always live and up to date, and will also reflect any seats released from guest cancellations.

We welcome bookings for 1, 2, 4 & 6 guests. (Single-diner reservations are available on select days each month.)

Cancellation Policy

For 1, 2 & 4 guests: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your reservation to avoid a charge of $188+ per guest.

Example: A Thursday dinner reservation must be cancelled by Tuesday, 6pm.

 

For 6 guests: Cancellations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. A reduction of up to 1 guest is allowed (minimum 5 pax). We reserve the right to cancel the booking if these conditions are not met.

 

As a small, independent restaurant, every reservation matters greatly to us and has a significant impact on our operations. We kindly ask for your understanding and support in honouring your reservations.

Restaurant Policy

Children are welcome, provided they are able to enjoy the full tasting menu.

Guests are welcome to bring their own cake for special occasions — we do not charge a cakeage fee.

We do not enforce a dress code.
